Joy Young


Joy Young is a good friend of mine from the South Carolina Arts Commission. She came to the Commission a couple of years ago after working with the South Carolina Association of Non-Profit Organziations. If you want to get you non-profit running or on track, Joy is your go to person.

Susan DuPlessis


Susan DuPlessis is an Arts Coordinator with the South Carolina Arts Commission. She was one of my colleagues during my work there and she does and excellent job.

Ken May


Ken May is the Deputy Director of the South Carolina Arts Commission. I worked at the Commission from 1999 to the end of last year. It's a great place that does some amazing work with non-profit museums and arts organizations across the state of South Carolina.

Among other things, the is the editor of the monthly magazine "South Carolina Business" where I write a column titled "Palmetto Salsa." She's one of the best editors I've ever encountered and a great individual.

Richard Kurin is the Director of the Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage at the Smithsonian Institution. He is the author of the recently published book titled, "Hope Diamond: The Legendary History of a Cursed Gem."

Ronnie Bernal is General Manager of Red McCombs Toyota in San Antonio, Texas. He is a member of Team Preguntale al Gringo where he serves as an expert on auto sales and financing.
